Executive in Residence
Brian joined Frazier Healthcare Partners in April 2022 as an Executive in Residence on the Growth Buyout team. He is working alongside the firm to develop and deliver investment strategies focused on cost containment in the self-insured employer healthcare landscape.
Brian brings almost 30 years of healthcare experience and an entrepreneurial, technology-forward, collaborative approach to building and growing businesses. As an entrepreneur, he co-founded, led as CEO, and sold businesses to Aon and HealthMarkets, a Blackstone / Goldman Sachs-owned business. Brian was recently COO at HealthMarkets, where he helped improve efficiency and profitability, leading to a successful exit to UnitedHealth Group (UHG). At Aon, Brian created the company’s highly profitable retiree exchange business that has been subsequently sold to Alight. At UHG, Brian created and executed a novel approach to increasing sales of the fastest growing employer cost-savings product in the UHG portfolio. Brian was previously a consultant with McKinsey and began his career at Eli Lilly & Company.
Brian holds a Master of Business Administration, with distinction, from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in engineering, magna cum laude, from Washington University.
