Mr. Whitters joined Frazier Healthcare in 2005 as a Senior Advisor to the Growth Equity team and became an Operating Partner in 2009. Previously, Mr. Whitters was the Chief Financial Officer for First Health (FHCC), a managed care organization. During Mr. Whitters' tenure with FHCC (1986 to 2005), the company grew from $5 million to approximately $900 million in revenue. Mr. Whitters assisted with taking FHCC public and the eventual sale of the company in 2005 for $1.8 billion (over 25x return to public investors). Prior to FHCC, Mr. Whitters held various financial positions with United Healthcare and Overland Express. Mr. Whitters began his career in public accounting with Peat Marwick. He has an accounting degree from Luther College in Iowa and is a CPA.

Currently, Mr. Whitters is on the board of Frazier Healthcare portfolio companies, TridentUSA Health, Zonare Medical Systems, Pentec Health, Inc. and Prezio Health and he previously served on the board of Aspen Education Group (acquired by CRC Health). Additionally, Mr. Whitters has served on various public boards including: Mentor Corporation, Solexa and Luminent. He currently serves on the board of Omincell, a publicly traded medication dispensing and supply management company
