

Mr. Whitters joined Frazier
Healthcare Ventures in 2005 as a Senior Advisor to the Growth
Equity investment team and became an Operating Partner in 2009.
Previously, Mr. Whitters was the Chief Financial Officer for
First Health (FHCC), a managed care organization. During Mr.
Whitters' tenure with FHCC (1986 to 2005), the company grew from
$5 million in revenue and 100 employees to approximately $900
million in revenue and 6000 employees. Mr. Whitters assisted
with taking FHCC public in 1987 at a split adjusted price of
$.69 a share and with the eventual sale of the company in early
2005 for $1.8 billion or $19 per share. Prior to FHCC, Mr.
Whitters held various financial positions with United Healthcare
and Overland Express. Mr. Whitters began his career in public
accounting with Peat Marwick. He has an accounting degree from
Luther College in Iowa and is a CPA.
Currently, Mr. Whitters is on the board of two Frazier
Healthcare portfolio companies, Zonare Medical Systems and
Pentech Health, Inc. and he previously served on the board of
Aspen Education Group (acquired by CRC Health in 2006) and
Mentor Corporation (acquired by Johnson and Johnson in 2009). He
also serves on the board of Omincell, a publicly traded
medication dispensing company and Lumient Mortgage, a $4 billion
asset REIT.
