Tom is a Senior Advisor on the Frazier Life Sciences team with over 35 years of experience as a lawyer and private equity executive.
Tom originally joined Frazier Healthcare Partners in 2000 as a Partner and Chief Operating Officer and became a General Partner in 2005, serving with the firm through 2013. He rejoined Frazier in 2016 as a Senior Advisor on the Life Sciences team and assists with structuring of investments, management of legal relationships and other firm operations. Tom has over 35 years of experience working with emerging healthcare and information technology companies and management of professional organizations.
Prior to joining Frazier, Tom was general counsel and a member of the executive management team at Loudeye Technologies, a digital music company that was acquired by Nokia in 2006. Before joining Loudeye, Tom practiced corporate and securities law for 20 years, most recently as a partner in the emerging companies practice group and chairman of the Seattle business department of Heller Ehrman/Venture Law Group, an international law firm. In his law practice, Tom managed venture capital financings, public offerings and M&A transactions and advised clients on corporate governance and securities compliance matters.
Since 2013, Tom has served as an Executive Volunteer with Medical Teams International, an international relief and development agency, where he works on special projects such as corporate partnerships and organizational development.
Tom holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A. in History, Political Science and Business from Houghton College.
