Mr. Heron is a General Partner in the Menlo Park Office and joined Frazier Healthcare in 1999. He focuses on early and later-stage private and public biotechnology and growth equity investments. In biotechnology, he has been active in company formation including QuatRx, an endocrine and metabolic company, Trubion, a small modular immunopharmaceutical (SMIP) company focused on oncology and inflammation, and VentiRx, which is developing novel Toll-Like Receptor therapeutics. In growth equity, he led Frazier’s involvement in MedPointe, a specialty pharmaceutical company focused in the respiratory area, and Informed Medical Communications, a pharmaceutical marketing services company.


Prior to joining Frazier Healthcare, Mr. Heron helped develop McKinsey & Co.'s West Coast biotechnology consulting practice. His projects included mergers and acquisitions, product launch, sales force optimization, corporate partnering and research prioritization. He was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate and Morehead Scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
