Dr. Daniel Estes joined Frazier Healthcare as an Associate in 2011 and became a Senior Associate in 2012. Dr. Estes is a member of the Biopharma team, assisting review of new investment opportunities as well as supporting existing portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Frazier Healthcare, Dr. Estes was a consultant with McKinsey & Company’s West Coast healthcare practice. He worked with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, and medical device companies in the US and Asia, focusing on R&D strategy, product launch, and business development.

Dr. Estes received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan, where his doctoral research focused on a novel, blood-based diagnostic assay for multiple sclerosis. He has authored 12 papers in peer reviewed journals and received several fellowships from the NIH and University of Michigan for his graduate studies. Dr. Estes also holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, where he is a member of Tau Beta Pi.
